TalkTools® Straw Kit
The Straw Kit is an excellent supplement to traditional therapy techniques and the best exercise available to promote tongue retraction and lingual grading. The innovative straw therapy hierarchy promotes jaw-lip-tongue dissociation through 11 stages of development. This system helps develop the physiology required to normalize oral muscle placement and to produce proper speech sounds. Instruction sheet included (available in English & Spanish). Sterilization Instructions: The American Medical Association states that a solution of 4% bleach to 96% water can be used to sterilize these therapy tools (10 tablespoons of bleach to every gallon of water). This solution only remains active for 24 hours; soak time varies between 20-30 minutes. Do not place tools in the dishwasher to clean, as they will melt. Straws can also be cleaned using the syringes found in the Feeding/Sensory category.
